pink glass

As campaign Love Myself is mostly in a pink and light purple colour I decided also use this colour palette in my design. I try to believe that thanks to this my project reach a new aesthetic.

A view from a pink stain glass window:

Pink glass is used mainly by Interior and Product Designers, there is plenty of example of those outcomes. Nonetheless, it is harder to find an instance of using pink glass in architecture.  I explored whole interned and I found only two of them:

The Arlington in North Carolina by LS3P

The local nickname is also  "Big Pink"  due to the elevators colour, which does not tint views from the inside (what is opposite to what I want to create). Despite using modern material, I think that design is a little boring as a building of 2003. It is because of simple cubical sharp. My project is going to be more sophisticated, I want to base on heptagon (because of seven members of BTS).

Belarusian Potash Company Headquarters in Minsk by New Construction:

The Belarusian Potash Company exports 33 percent of the world’s potash. I appropriate the whole symbolic of this project as I want to fulfil mine also like regarding BTS.  For example, the shining red atrium’s symbolic resonance stems, the eight-story building to symbolise a crystal of sylvinite, that unites the building’s two wings. I think this building is more in my style than the first one, however, I do not make so sharp shape.

A building which resembles my project in context of coloured glass is Frank Gehry's Fondation Louis Vuitton  which was covered with colours the sails by Daniel Buren in 2016.

Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, by Frank Gehry:

Orginal:

It match to my project because of the curve sharp, and compering to two last examples the colour is also viewable in inside of building.

Are you ready to see my sketches?

  1. Although you have struggled to find pink glass, I would add research into just the use of coloured glass in architecture, even if it is a different colour!
