Workshop

Last Friday I took part in Technical Drawing Workshop. During workshop I had the opportunity to get to know the technique how to draw with  pro-markers and fine-liners.

Markers can be a different sizes and their destiny depends of their sizes:

The tick one is perfect to making details and for finishing touch. Whit the medium one you can coloured smaller elements, also is good as the tool to make shadows. The wide one is intended for covering large parts.

I had learned that it is good to draw from light to dark colours. In this way, the effect is better. I made a trial, which you can see below. It should resembles concrete part of my building:

It helps also if you draw slowly:

The techniques to draw with markers are the same as with watercolour, what wet-on-wet (when the colours mix together, what looks more permeative)  and wet-on- dry (what look more like building next layers). Sometimes to got better transferring effect, it is possible to use colourless blender.

My trials with colouring and blendering colours you can see below:
I mostly use wet-on-wet technique, that is why it looks too fuzzy and bland.

I really like this one. It could have been even my final pieces if I had used a ruler. However, I believe it would have been even better if I had used also a medium colour between light and dark grey. Thanks to this, my draw would be look more professional.

From tutorial I also got a hint that I can use colour pencils to mark details. I think it give really pleasurable effect and I will use it in my major project
